Brown's Skating Rink, 2 Baldwin Ave. E., DeFuniak Springs, FL
According to the List of all skating rinks of 1990s by videoparadise-sanjose.com, it listed Brown's Skating Rink but there is no information especially the map. There is no Baldwin Avenue East. Just Baldwin Avenue. This is one of the mysteries. Too bad Robert Stack of Unsolved Mysteries would be on to say something about this place. Ha.
According to Google Map, it points to a modern brick building in a plaza. Likely Brown's was open till 1990s and then closed, demolished and a new commercial building was built.
Unfortunately, I do not have any photos. Anyone has more information and photos, please by all means let me know about Brown's Skating Rink.
It looked narrow according to that new building. It was in their small town main street area. Baldwin Avenue is paved along the parallel with the railroad track and in fact, has a station there. Must be main track to the West from the South. Who knows.
The unheard of town is in the Panhandle east of Pensacola just off of Interstate 10. Likely the rink was demolished and new built. It has that nice clock similar to the one in the defunct mall called Penn Can Mall (see their website where Drivers' Village is presently stands today. It is still a mall inside the vast automobile dealership).
Likely it was a flat roof one story building that housed a rink. No further information. Sorry.
