Brookpark Skateland 13445 Brookpark Rd, Brook Park, OH. An architectural rendering of the rink. There was a huge differences in this rendering than the actual place. They did not have the extension on the left of the sign. it was far narrower than this rendering. It would have been huge section of non-rink area. Source: Cleveland Memory.

Brookpark Skateland 13445 Brookpark Rd, Brook Park, OH. Excellent photo shoot, skater! Taken in evening on a raining day giving that glow. The sign appeared to be 1960s style. You can tell. Source: a fan in Four Square.

Brookpark Skateland 13445 Brookpark Rd, Brook Park, OH. Likely that man with the chair behind him was the owner/operator. And the security guard. What a relic that telephone on the wall was! Some things did not change at the rink. That is what I heard from fans on Yelp, Four Square, and others. This photo was taken like as if a photographer wanted to capture a true natural appearance of someone or some people instead of smiling at the camera. You can see this is art. Noticed how serious those two men were? Maybe that is why some people got scared of this place according to Yelp comments. One of the most toughest rink. Source: Four Square.

Brookpark Skateland as well as Brookpark Skateland Social Club were at 13445 Brookpark Road in Brook Park, Ohio. Wow, a mouthful to say the name Brookpark! The name of the rink, street, and town. Whew!
Also it was called just... Skateland.
This rink ran for 57 years till they had a fire that destroyed the rink and the owners decided not to rebuilt which evidently ended the run for this rink.
What happened was on September 19, 2018, there was a massive fire that destroyed the rink. It was way much damages inside the rink and it was caused by electrical fire which evidently forced the rink operators, the Bradnan Family to decide not to rebuilt the rink.
The fire was reported by a man working nearby or next door at 12:30 AM. They said the fire started around the DJ booth. That made sense because it is all electrical there with much equipment, and the wires as well. Both for power and for connecting to disco lights, ceiling light, and speakers.
When fire fighters arrived, fire was already shooting through the roof and 2 hours later, it was still a lot of smoke coming out of the hole in the roof. It was declared by 4 PM that the fire was out. The result was that the fire damaged most of the rear of the building but the rest were smoke damages. The fire officials said they had insurance and would have repaired it but the owners did not want to go through this clearly. They said too much damages. 5 fire departments responded to the fire that morning.
The first and owners were Sam and Michael Bradnan (likely brothers), who also operated Bradnan's Recreation in Southland Shopping Center. The final owners were the Bradnan Family. It appeared it began with Neal Bradnan in 1960.
At the time of construction, it cost 250,000 USD in 1960. This means 2,336,055.74 USD in 2021 American money adjusted to inflation of 834.4 percent increase (today is 5.4 percent as of 15 November 2021). Let's Go Brandon!
The Interior.
Non-painted, Polyurethane Coated Maple
The Exterior.
It was quite modern looking building when they first built and opened in 1960. It was similar to one of the Rollercade if one wonder if this was a copy. Not quite. The same corner, but only one whole building that is Gable roof, Free-Span Steel Trusses Cinderblocks-Walled Church/School Gym - like Building. It was 1960s style Mid-Century Modernism. Similar to that other Rollercade but the difference is that other place had another Gable roof building just for the entrance just like what Texaco Gas Stations of 1950s-60s used to look.
