Photo Courtesy of Christine R. Noticed how nice snackbar used to be!? 1960s style Avocado Green backing and Burnt Orange padded seat on booths while matching Burnt Orange ornament backing swivel seating with booths (Appeared like it was from 1970s fast food restaurants had). It was thrown into 1980s rebuilt rink with 2000s themed walls in background. No murals, nothing! But a lot of posters framed on the wall though.
Three photos courtesy of Michael L. on Yelp. Top-store and skate rental, middle is arcade area, and bottom, low light or couple skating with arcade, rental, etc plus the main doors to outside.
Photo courtesy of Chelesa G. on Yelp. Very modern refreshing to this day though it is dated. 1960s/70s globe pendants, 2000s Maroon and Lime Green walls, with bit dulling floor. The refelxion on ceiling and wall were because it was an afternoon session and the sun shined through the glass doors.

Skateland or known as Bremerton Skateland was just recently closed on June 30, 2019. It is a sad day that day they were closing for good and it becomes a storage facility for a business next door that needs to expand their storage space.
This was unusual when they first set up the rink. Originally the building was not in State of Washington but in Oregon! It was in Salem, Oregon back before 1984. It was sold at the time and it was dismantled and was hauled on a semi tractor trailer all the studs, truss, and walls and windows and transported to Bremerton, WA. That was roughly 220 miles away! That was an expensive take down and rebuilt at the time which might run in millions by today standards.
They reopened in 1985 after taking all that time to dismantle, shipping, and rebuilding. That was a huge building of 22,800 Square Feet. They had a good run in post Roller Disco era till June 30, 2019.
The building was Gable roof with extended roof overhang, Not a Boxed Gable. It was just Gable. Two stories high since it had windows in the original location on second floor. Then with the Bremerton location, there were no windows on second floor. It was refreshing look on the exterior because of Solid American Red and American Navy Blue colors. And that is too bad the rink has to be sold.
The interior of the rink had Clear Polyurethane coat Maple floor. The pendants above the rinks was very 1970s feel globe lights as many of you might recalled. It was part of the rink flashing lights. It was in post-Disco theme though. It appeared to be very clean and modern 1980s feel. Like a retro if you would call that. But.. Very attractive rink to go to. And it had Lime Green end wall which made it updated to 2000s look. Still refreshing. Hardly murals around.
Had this kept open, for sure I would have made my stop at this rink to skate. Yelp even said 3.5 out of 5 which is not too bad. Compared to other rinks that were closed or even still open, Ouch for those other rinks.
Customer service seemed to be good according to commenters.
The 22,800 SF 2 story building was sold to the storage company next door for a shocking price of 1.6 Million Dollars (1 hectares or known as 2.5 acres property). That is one of the most expensive skating rink to date. They had to sell because a debt and losing profits. Also attendance declined and needs maintenance work to repair the rink and other things.
The rink was packed on the final night that it was wall to wall. If you look on Facebook, you will notice it was wall to wall. Even a skater had a stroller on the rink that crowded? Careful!
That was the last rink for that area. They had other rinks in past but all gone.
