All courtesy of Wheeelers. Those are the looks under Wheeelers. The floor looks the same as it was Bluff Skate Country.
Top right photo showed the outline of the property. Also you noticed the roller floor paint was already pealing and worn. No protective coating on it. Love the carpets but not a match to 1980s splash paint mural all over. The rink floor apparently was shortened as you can see in the photo and the blue print. Originally for 225 feet long! But they shortened perhaps a good 30 feet or so wide.

Bluff Skate Country 1130 N Highway 171, Lake Charles, LA
Bluff Skate Country was located at 1130 N Highway 171, Lake Charles, Louisiana before it became Wheeelers Entertainment Center. No, it is not a misspelling for Wheeelers. It has three "e" before "l" It is supposed to sound like "Wheee-lers" not "Wheel-ler". It is not the same.
Anyway, from what I am seeing on Google Map about this location, the sign appeared to be taken off but Wheeelers is still in business according to their Facebook page. It even mentioned they are open with cautious way for COVID. Anyway!
They do have for lease sign upon the building but they are not closed or going out of business. I do not know why the owners of Wheeelers are doing this. Apparently they are not selling the building. They are clearly closing the rink and lease out to someone else who can run the rink or something else. This is why they renovated with new roof in 2017 and painted the exterior in 2018 as well as re graveled the parking lot the same year.
That is what I think is happening. It is too soon to tell if they are closing for good or whatever it is the reason.
This Skate Country may have had some connection to perhaps to the Iowa version of Skate Country company that owned several rinks, not the Arizona group. But I am not sure.
The Interior.
Clearly from more present time, you see the paint has 1980s Pop Art style of splash paint on walls pretty much everywhere. Not carpets, paint!
The Exterior.
It is Gabled roof building with Free Span Steel Truss Steel Walled warehouse like building based on a simple Skate Country of AZ format but smaller canopy and the front doors are not extended to out-build building.
It is a long rectangular building with the front door on the side not facing the street. It is mostly surrounded with beautiful trees and all gravel parking lot which is common in the South especially in countryside, not like the Northern states which requires pavements due to the type of soil and weather elements. For instance, snow and wet snow can muddy up the ground.
White colored walls and faux roof look.
It is currently as of August 2020, for sale at 1.3 Million Dollars but they are looking for tenants to lease.
