Ebay. Too perfect to be real. Might be a reproduction.
Courtesy of K V-L. This might be her mother according to her story on Pinterest. Saying it was where it all began for her parents where they met and later married. The photo seemly to be dated 1940s. Maybe 1950s because of the skirt.
Black's Roller Skating Rink 35th and Winchester Ave, Ashland KY
The only evidences I found was the patch that is too perfect as looked too new. Might be a reproduction. And a photograph of someone whose mother was standing in front of an automobile that was parked in front of Black's Roller Skating Rink that was in Ashland, KY.
There are no information online. Anyone know about this rink? It appeared to be around Maybe 1930s to 1950s because stickers like this were very common at the time plus the photograph.
The Interior.
For sure they had Maple floor. No proof but at the time 99.9 percent of the rinks were of wood. Likely Maple.
The Exterior.
All brick built Likely Steel Truss but it could be wood. Not sure and not know. No interior photograph available. Only that photograph showed what it was like. That photograph showed to be around 1940s. Maybe 1950s because of the skirt.
The parking were on the street, no parking lot. immediately to the right is another building. Apparently skaters had to walk to or park along the curb of the road. Actually off street for some as the photo suggests.
