All Google Map. Bottom two are 2008 and 2019 respectively. Canopy? Too narrow to be gas station there because of the pillars there. I think its a display canopy which was unnecessary.
Benton Skating Rink 95 Logan Street, Benton, KY
Since 1996, Benton Skating Rink was operational till we do not know when. It was located at 95 Logan Street in Benton, Kentucky.
Currently a local car dealership and the dealer converted the building into his dealership by adding walls, garage doors, etc. It was not long the rink had opened. It was just a few short years then shown in 2008 Google Map, the dealership and a canopy was there. What the purpose of the canopy? Was that part of the dealer? If so, that means they closed between say, 1997 and 2007. Anyone know about this rink?
Yelp reported it was closed.
The Interior.
N/A.
The Exterior.
The original was entirely different than the current photos of the dealership. The original showed smaller building than the current one because the current dealership has built extension and canopy attached to the original building. Likely the front door was in middle wall facing the front. It became a garage door.
Then the canopy was removed. Perhaps removed because of storms as it is being in tornado alley or nearby.
Original colors are unknown.
