Beaver Crossing Skating Rink Beaver Crossing, NE
This rink was in Beaver Crossing. No, there were no Beavers crossing at the rink. Haha.
Unfortunately not much about the rink itself but two letters were written about social activities at that rink. Those letters were replies to a brief article in the February article of same publication, LIFE.
As History goes, this was happened. Albert Watts built his auditorium in 1916 and had basketball games, dances, and John Owens set up a roller rink there.
The heater were both Coal and Wood in coal and wood stoves, respectively.
It was a two story complex.
John Owens purchased the building in 1960 and it had a dance hall and adding the roller rink as expansion. There are no dates for closure and no photos available! Anyone?
In another article in LIFE newsletter that was printed for Girl scouts as related to those 2 letters above dated March 10, 1993. The article was dated February 24, 1993.
