Currently a print shop. The only evidence remains there is none other than the roller rink floor! You can see them on their Yelp profile: Panther Printing.
Beach Rink, 11580 Marshwood Lane, Fort Myers, FL
Beach Rink Entertainment Center, 11580 Marshwood Lane, Fort Myers, FL
Those two were quite similar in name but two entirely different ownership and rinks at the same location two different times! Whew. Originally was Beach Rink. It was not on the beach as many you may think. It was in Fort Myers, a coastal city though. Not far from the Gulf of Mexico.
It was later sold to the Hannas who renamed the rink as Beach Rink Entertainment Center. It featured a Blue floor (in photos, it appeared white at the current print shop that owns the building now) and had roller hockey rink floor layout.
Original owners (a few names) filed to establish as business on July 17, 1980 which apparently opened that year. They eventually sold to the Hannas which they were forced to close due to competitions in the neighborhood both roller and ice. Especially ice because of hockey. There were two new ice rinks opened and many apparently jumped over there.
Ice and roller are two quite different things.
The Blue coated concrete floor served as roller rink and roller hockey in Gabled roofed Free span steel walled warehouse-style building. A special purpose building.
So far, I see on Google Map dated 2014 and 2018 that it is a print shop there now.
I will receive information soon from the former owner, Becky.
