Starlite Roller Rink 8135 Waterloo Rd, Atwater, OH A beautiful logo for Starlite Roller Rink. The Starlite name had Airstream font (Interesting side note- Airstream RVs are made in Ohio!) and the ROLLER RINK is a Drafter Font. And with the more realistic picture of an In-line skate, this truly made more interesting and realistic. I love the logo! One of the best I ever seen for a dead rink. Source: Archived Starlite Roller Rink website (defunct still online).
Starlite Roller World 8135 Waterloo Rd, Atwater, OH This signage was seen in 2007 and 2008 Google Map showing it was Starlite Roller World. Likely Starlite Roller Rink was around since 1950s but for a time, it became Roller World. Then in 2013, it became Starlite Roller Rink. The Roller World logo looked quite familiar to me. I believe it was a chain or franchise to a Roller World rinks company somewhere in Midwest. But they added the wheels to it. And that was a Quad Skate wheels. Source: Google.
Deerfield Skating Center 8135 Waterloo Rd, Atwater, OH This signage replaced Starlite Roller World. That taken in 2019. In-Line Skate is back again. Source: Google.
Starlite Roller World 8135 Waterloo Rd, Atwater, OH This signage was seen in 2008 It had Brown Bricks with Brown paints covering windows and doors and Trusss section of the wall. Source: Google.
Deerfield Skating Center 8135 Waterloo Rd, Atwater, OH This signage replaced Starlite Roller World. The appearance has improved with Blue color covering some of the Brown area but also they added a mural next to the door as you can see in the photo. Source: Google.

There were a few rinks at this location, 8135 Waterloo Road, Atwater, Ohio. They were Atwater Roller Rink, Starlite Roller Rink, and Roller World. Starlite Roller Rink began in 1950 according to Rink Time. Currently operating as Deerfield Skate Center. But still a roller rink! Four lives.
I attempted to find information regarding Atwater Roller Rink however, it is red fonted. It is interesting that Starlite Roller Rink which is no longer a rink name has an STILL operating website copyrighted in 2003 but no updates. They said it is archived but its not on a website that keeps things archived.
I do not know what happened to Starlite Roller Rink. The closing date has to be between 2003 and 2008. That would be the website they had and Google Map started to show street level photos in 2007. But they have earliest in 2008 for the rink as Roller World.
Then it became Deerfield Skating Center in 2017 according to their Facebook they announced just a week prior to my making this profile! Really good timing!
The Interior.
I do not know what it was originally but it has beautiful non-painted (except with a huge RED arrow on the rink floor to make skaters go one way, to the left (counter clockwise) the same way runners do in track and field. They may have split the floor to add more eating area. You can tell they shortened it. That is sad. But if that is what they need to do, I understand. I do not have photos of the original rink from 1950s to prior 2017 but all are after 2017 you can find on Facebook.
The Exterior.
It is Sand colored Brick with Red Trim originally but with Deerfield Skate Center, they painted it Blue for the trims.
It is a Free-Span Steel Trusses Brick-Walled Rink Building with Gable roof.
