Ashland Rollercade 2042 Claremont Avenue, Ashland, OH
Ashland Rollercade was formerly operating at 2042 Claremont Avenue, Ashland, Ohio. This was one of many Rollercades or 'Cade rinks which likely was a franchise or a chain "store" under the same management of Rollercades.
I do not have any open dates or closed dates but someone said in an old skating forum, Skatelog.com website that... "I graduated from Ashland College (now Ashland University) in Ashland, Ohio. The College offered a roller skating class in 1988 at the Ashland Rollercade as an option to fulfill physical education requirements! We had a group beginners class that was taught by Bob Watts and it was a lot of fun. The Rollercade was located on the Ashland County fairgrounds but the building is now being used a reception hall."
So, that was it. It is still a county fair and they had their county fair operating in post-COVID era in first weekend of July 2021.
Since the comment said in 1980s... so the rink perhaps was operational from 1970s to 1990s. Ball park dates.
The reception hall. I do not know where that is as I can see the aerial photo of the fairgrounds. Was it the Coliseum?
