Glare that a certain filmmaker love to use in movies. We do not. Oh, this was taken in 2016 as a church annex building. Yes, it was a rink there.
Adventure Skate Rink 22205 Little Creek Rd, Mandeville, LA
Before Church of the King, it was Adventure Skate Rink at 22205 Little Creek Road in Mandeville, Louisiana. Not much about the rink but much about the church. You see, they bought the former rink in 2001 and renovated it for four months and they finally had their first service in the former rink just two days prior to 9/11, the worst terrorism event ever in this world according to their website, Church of the King. They had a 1000 seating auditorium. But the church grew much bigger and they built their newest and current building which is much bigger at 2,700 seat church and complex.
Apparently the former rink closed sometimes before 2001. That is all I know. Anyone know more about this rink? They transformed that building quite a bit and I do not know what the original was like.
The Interior.
N/A.
The Exterior.
I do not know what the original was like because all I see on Google Map the current church building that is now perhaps offices or something there because the main church is built and huge complex.
The current one they may have added this or that on the outside because of the geometric shapes on the walls and may have altered quite a bit. I will need to see the before photos. Anyone? The current one has many level of Gable roof and they added much windows, more doors, new walls, and one part look like they added extension to it.
They do have a canopy to drive under. It does look very narrow there though that it may originally was not intended to drive under the canopy. I am not sure. Anyone?
The Stats:
Rink Size: N/A. Floor: N/A. Floor Layout: N/A.
Building Size: N/A. Built: N/A. Demolished: Heavily renovated in 2001 right up to prior to 9/11.
Type of Building: Free-Span Steel Truss multi-material walled Building.

Reason for Closure: N/A.
Wanted: Information regarding photos of the rink inside and out, dates of open and closure. Why rink closed, size of building, rink floor material and size, who owned it?
Anyone has pictures and/or information please let me know at [email protected]. Thank you.
