A Roller Rink (Name unknown) was on 56 Main Street, Harrison, Maine. It is a historic and antique building where the rink was. It is quite small place where the rink was for a small beautiful countryside Maine. That is why I included a couple of bird view of the area. For those loving outdoors and nature, this is the place to go.
Only that the news said this place was a roller rink at one time as well as currently the Olde Mill Tavern which is up for sale in October 2022 for 849,900 USD. The tavern was operational since 1923. This would means the rink was operational before 1923. Also it was a playhouse theater. Quite small for a rink! I mean, look at the size of the building! It is a 1,078 Square Feet building. 20 percent always must have off-rink space. That would means merely 800 Square Feet. I resided in a house that has 1,100 Square Feet. Not much difference and this means quite small. Perfect for tiny tots to practice on that floor.
Anyone know the name of the rink and exactly when the rink operated and when the playhouse was operating as well? And the name of the playhouse?
All real estate sites generally generate listing from their competitors so they all copied an error. The error in question is the year it was built. All said the year 9999. That is in the quite a distant future. That is 7,977 years into the future. Haha.
The Interior.
Having just a little over a thousand Square Feet, which is quite small and perhaps about 800 Square Feet actual skating floor. It may have been short lived too. Floor has to be wood because of the era before 1923 typically means wood.
The Exterior.
A rustic historic building with Gabled Roofed All wood Trusses and stick-build with rustic Wood. It may have had a difference appearance back then with painted siding. I can tell the renovations on the exterior was adding Red Brick at the base. Looks too uniformed brick style compared to actual early 20th Century bricks that are common found on any buildings including homes, stores, and office buildings during those days back then. And usually darker. It may have had renovations. Of course, often times they did.
The brick base may have been an add-ons. The same with the interior with heavy renovations they did in 1996.

You can if you are going to pay for your meal, you check it out and enjoy the beauty of this themed restaurant. The area is so beautiful! Thick forestry around there, with hills and mountains in the backdrop. Two lakes. Great for snowmobiling in wintertime. Zoom zoom! Or hiking is your liking, be sure you have your search beacon with you in case you are going to be lost. And find your way to the South or to the East. Always do that (hey, I was a Boy Scout and a survivalist trainee so I know. In fact my nickname was MacGyver).

Dead Rinks is now International Roller Skating Rinks History Foundation© because many former names have become new names at the same rinks that are still active and due to much confusion, We have decided that International Roller Skating Rinks History Foundation© fits better for all rinks including defunct, closed, inactive, rebooted, and rinks that are still active today. For short on this site, it is International Roller Skating Rinks History© Bear with us as we change the entire site page by page each day. Thank you for understanding.
Second of all: The contents including words and photos above on this page and/or on any pages are purely educational entertainment purposes only. Rinks that are closed are considered dead. Rinks that are/were sold and with new management names new name(s), the former are considered dead. Previous operating rink that closed but came back years later, are considered dead because the reopening is considered rebooted, nothing to do with the former. Since we are rebooted to allow alive rinks, active rinks, we welcome those active rinks as well. It will be described.
As for “For Office Only” is for my reasoning and private legal reason for that.
