Warrington Skating Rink / Performance Rink 925 Easton Rd, Warrington, PA. The earliest photo of the rink exterior. You notice the parking lot was all gravel, not paved. Image in the winter after the snow melt or even a blanket? Yuck. And after the rain? Likely taken in first half 1950 due to the sign (see next photo). Courtesy of a private friend.
Warrington Skating Rink / Performance Rink 925 Easton Rd, Warrington, PA. The sign. Very basic 1950s sign, unlike Vegas style. With schedule. I see what was scheduled: ___ Teen Dance Sat June 4 5:30 PM. It was scheduled for the year 1955 according to the calendar online. Apparently the rink was opened at that time. Best educated guess. Warrington Skating Rink / Performance Rink 925 Easton Rd, Warrington, PA. See who went there! Yes, this was the famed youthful DJ/VJ Dick Clark on the right who was talking with the owner of the rink and owner's son, George Mekosh Photo Courtesy of Warrington Township Historical Society Facebook page.

Warrington Skating Rink / Performance Rink 925 Easton Rd, Warrington, PA. The Late Robert Louis Ridarelli, known by the stage name Bobby Rydell sang at the rink. See how he dressed to sing? Today.. its sad. Photo Courtesy of Warrington Township Historical Society Facebook page/Linda Zaks
Warrington Skating Rink / Performance Rink 925 Easton Rd, Warrington, PA. Wall to wall pack full of fans of big names who sang at the rink. For sure American Bandstand and the host, Dick Clark often had tour around the state and the country with singers and music for teens to enjoy Rock-n-Roll. Warrington Skating Rink / Performance Rink 925 Easton Rd, Warrington, PA. As seen today. It is a fence store. The modernized the front and yes, its all paved now. The front they attempted to look more like a colonial but the side you can tell it was designed and built in 1950s. Clashing of styles here. But it is cheaper just a front to built. Warrington Skating Rink as well as it was Performance Rink at 925 Easton Road, Warrington, Pennsylvania was a rink in the town where the rink was named after. The building was built in 1950 and operated as roller rink. An article mentioned it was an industrial warehouse at first then the roller rink then after the rink closed, it became a dance studio then a retail showroom.
The building itself was last sold for 1,900,000 USD in October 2006 and before that was 07 January 2004 for a cool 1,400,000 USD. Lately the value has not been increased much according to Xome. The 2006 purchase was for the retail showroom for Sequoia Supply, a retail showroom, office headquarters and warehouse for its deck and fencing business.
When the rink closed and was sold to Dance Elite which changed its name to the Performance Rink. which eventually became a dance studio.
The building is located on three acres and has a second-story, two-bedroom apartment and a separate 3,049 Square Foot garage. Sequoia added a new façade and added between 10,000 SF and 15,000 SF of additional office and warehouse space to the original 19,940 SF.
This rink had a few big names performed there including Dick Clark and Bobby Rydell. It made sense because this rink was in Pennsylvania where Dick Clark had hosted his televised American Bandstand a pioneer in live music show airing from Philadelphia, the Capital of Dance Partying TV shows that aired other shows including Dance Party USA. Soul Train was founded in Chicago and spend most of its time in Los Angeles and another dance partying TV show was in Atlanta, Georgia. Anyway, Rinks like this one had many singers and bands playing music and songs for skaters and dancers.
The Interior.
The floor was Hardwood Maple wood studs lay for the rink. When they went out of business, the dance studio used it then now a fence store use the same wood floor for their warehouse use. Sad to see the rink floor becomes that.
They had perhaps likely an announcer booth that you saw in the photo with Dick Clark. It was typical orchestra bandstand. The style was typical of its time to see music notes and music lines. This was seen often with many bands and orchestras. It does look very solid and not the cheap ones you seen today made of cardboards. This one is likely wood. Beautiful piece!
The rink appeared to be wall to wall although hard to tell with wall to wall crowd in that photo of fans waiting for Dick Clark and teen idol Bobby Rydell.
The Exterior.
The roof in the photo I can tell was a Segmental Roof. The ceiling was hard to see because of the then popular sparkling metallic aprons and it hid the type of truss they used. But I caught it. It is likely Bow-Tie Truss.
The front wall was a faux wall that was a Step-Wall format. The entire place was built with Cinderblocks.

Dead Rinks is now International Roller Skating Rinks History Foundation© because many former names have become new names at the same rinks that are still active and due to much confusion, We have decided that International Roller Skating Rinks History Foundation© fits better for all rinks including defunct, closed, inactive, rebooted, and rinks that are still active today. For short on this site, it is International Roller Skating Rinks History© Bear with us as we change the entire site page by page each day. Thank you for understanding.

Rinks that are closed are considered dead. Rinks that are/were sold and with new management names new name(s), the former are considered dead. Previous operating rink that closed but came back years later, are considered dead because the reopening is considered rebooted, nothing to do with the former. Since we are rebooted to allow alive rinks, active rinks, we welcome those active rinks as well. It will be described.
As for “For Office Only” is for my reasoning and private legal reason for that.
